A relationship with the LORD

For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

~ John 16:27

There are three features of a buoyant spirit relationship:

I. Initiations of the father. Many do not have a relationship with Him because not all are drawn by Him. He is yet to invite them to the feasts of His heart and the intimacies of His reins. Beloved, our God is an Ahasuerus: you do not come unless you are summoned. For clarity, ask Esther because the days of 2025 must be teemed by a God who initiates conversation and cajoles your heart to wait on the burden of His Spirit.

II. Embraces of the Son. Is not the son the stipulated standard of handling God? The proof positive that God was precise in loving you is that you have returned the favour in loving His son. Make no mistake: to love the son is to obey the commandments of the father. Keep reminding your heart that God does not relate with rebels. It is an ear that has listened to the law that can gel with the father's heart. Ever heard of a relationship without some form of MOU? Strive to toe to the line so that your feet can stand within the Jerusalem of God's companionship.

III. The salt of trust. If you believe that the son came from the father, you will not be paranoid about the things that God is telling you as you walk with Him. The son (the will of God for you) comes from the father, (God's boundless love for you). In 2025, do not repeat the 2024 mistake of romanticizing your relationship with the LORD. Being God's friend is not hard but it takes maturity to keep the relationship. Being close to Him might cause you to be cognizant of some pretty hard things. Trust on.
